Newsweek magazine is organizing the second event on dual education, which highlights the need for qualified staff in the economy and the supply of the education system.
One of the solutions for dropping out of school is better promotion and involvement of the authorities in attracting students to continue their studies in technical high schools that are in close collaboration with the business environment.
In this way, students who cannot continue their high school studies in theoretical or real profiles can be supported to qualify for a job and find a job.
The European Commission has identified education and training as an area of
interest for cooperation under the European Education Area 2021-2030 initiative.
Through the EU Council, Member States have set a target that by 2025, at least 60% of vocational education graduates will benefit from on-the-job learning during their vocational education and training.
According to the most recent official report, in the 2019-2020 school year, 1,847 students graduated from the dual education system, ie 80% of the number enrolled in 2017, of which only 983 were employed.
At the same time, the labor market is demanding a shortage of skilled labor every year.
What the authorities say about how and for how long the education system could provide sufficient qualified staff for the needs of economic agents, which are areas with a large shortage of well-trained employees, how entrepreneurs are involved to facilitate students’ access to practice, we will discuss during this event.
The second edition of the Education Summit will take place online and will be broadcast live on newsweek.ro (site in the Top 10 most read News and Analysis sites in Romania in the ranking published by SATI , with a traffic of over 2.2 million unique readers per month) and on the Facebook page of Newsweek Romania (over 57,000 followers and a monthly impact of posts – reach – of over 5 million people).
