Newsweek Romania is organising the second edition of the Retail Summit on 8 March. The event will focus on two important directions for the industry.
The first topic to be debated is the Return Guarantee System (RGS) – the newest national project, which aims to collect part of the beverage packaging by introducing a 50 money guarantee on the purchase of beverages marked with the RGS logo.
We will discuss with the decision-makers for the implementation of the project, both from the State and from the private sector, about the state of implementation of the system, how ready retailers are and what problems they are facing to comply with the new rules for collecting packaging from customers.
What are the costs for small and large traders? How prepared are rural versus urban businesses to collect packaging? How can small retailers proceed, how will local public authorities get involved? Is the deadline of 30 November 2023 for the SGR to start operating realistic?
These are just some of the questions our guests will answer.
The second theme of the event is about innovation and efficiency in retail. We will discuss new experiences retailers are offering customers to entice them to shop online or in physical stores, or how they combine the two sales channels. Urban regeneration projects are gaining momentum and attracting customers to different shopping centres involves
rethinking the whole system of needs for an entire community.
What will shopping look like in 2023? Are consumer behaviours changing? What will be the trends for the coming years?
These are some of the questions our guests will answer at this event.
