Newsweek Romania is organising a new edition of the FINANCIAL EDUCATION SUMMIT on 22 May, with the main theme “Personal Investment Opportunities”.
We plan to discuss with our guests how we can invest in the stock market and when would be the best times, where we get our information and how to make sure we do not fall into the trap of fake brokers. We will also find out what tools we can invest with, how much money is needed and what would be a good strategy to invest savings in the stock market. And once we have made the investment in a company’s shares and become shareholders, it is worth knowing what our rights and obligations are as shareholders, as well as our tax obligations.
Which companies are paying better dividends this year, which companies plan to invest more in growth, and which new businesses are looking to list on the stock exchange in the coming period will all be revealed at this event.
In February of this year, according to the NBR, household savings deposits amounted to 306.73 billion lei, up from 286.3 billion lei in the same period last year. The population was attracted by higher interest rates on bank deposits, even if they only kept pace with the higher inflation rate. Therefore, policymakers and capital market players will have to try to turn some of these savings into investments that could bring higher profitability.
Â
And this can only be achieved through sustained financial education and information.
The audience will be limited to 20 seats. To participate in the room, please register by emailing office@newsweek.ro and you will be confirmed by a message from the organizer.Â
The event will be live streamed on newsweek.ro (Top 10 most read News and Analysis websites in SATI’s ranking, with a traffic of over 2.6 million unique readers per month) and on Newsweek Romania’s Facebook page (67,000 followers and a monthly impact of 5 million posts).
