Newsweek Defense Summit, edition 2023, is organised by Newsweek Romania and returns on 7 November with its fifth edition. On this occasion we will address topical issues related to the global geopolitical context and the strategies that are needed for defense.
The event is one of the very few held in our country on this topic and brings into discussion how the war in Ukraine, as well as the new conflict between Israel and the Hamas group affecting Romania.
Discussions will focus on our country’s security priorities and its strategy for dealing with emerging threats, as well as how it positions itself in the regional context. What are the risks we need to consider?
How economically and militarily prepared are we to face any challenges brought about by the two conflicts? What should we be looking out for and what do we expect to happen in the period ahead? What protection measures is Romania taking on its national territory in the vicinity of the conflict zone in Ukraine? Do we have a potential risk of terrorist attacks in our country?
