The fifth edition of the Energy Summit organized by Newsweek Romania brings to the fore the opportunities that open up for our country to become energy independent.
Moreover, Romania has the chance to become an important distribution hub in the region.
To the natural gas crisis caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, an event that overlapped with the increase in prices generated, mainly, by the liberalization of the energy market, this summer’s heat wave is also added, which has begun to hamper the production of hydro energy.
How will the geopolitical map and the global energy architecture change, what possibilities do we have to quickly develop new production and distribution capacities, what are the
newest methods of producing energy and how does the population have access to different energy sources, we will try to find out within this event.
The transition to green energy, which is in the European Union’s plan, will have to be accelerated, being the only option in which sustainable energy and the construction of a new global energy system can be simultaneously ensured.
Do we have the resources for this transition? Technology is helping us, but when and how will this transition be implemented?
The serious problems we are currently facing, generated by the energy crisis, will be debated by our top guests, decision-makers from the Government of Romania, the European and
Romanian Parliaments, consultants and specialists from the private business sector.
2022 ENERGY SUMMIT will be held in a hybrid format and broadcast from the studio Newsweek România. The public will have access to the studio, by invitation, within the limit of 20 places. For registrations, please request participation at office@newsweek.ro, and you will be confirmed by the organizer.
The event will be broadcast live on newsweek.ro (top 10 most read News and Analysis sites in the ranking published by SATI, with a traffic of over 2.2 million unique readers per month) and on the page of Facebook of Newsweek Romania (64,000 followers and a monthly impact of the posts of 5 million people).
