We are living historical times, with major changes in geopolitics, induced by the current coronavirus pandemic.
Romania’s defense strategy must be adapted according to the new threats and vulnerabilities created by the health crisis, the political changes generated by the actions of Russia and China, but also the way the US and the EU will relate in the future to the two poles of power. We have entered a multipolar world, a
more complicated world. In addition to the classic and unconventional hybrid wars waged by the states, a medical war has begun, superimposed on the economic one, both caused by the two crises currently existing.
At the # 2020 Defense Summit, we will discuss with top representatives of public administrations, specialists and military consultants about the strategy required not to align with the new world order that
is looming. We are debating about the need to equip the army, and also about the new measures mandatory for a new pandemics or disasters.
