ABOUT THE SUMMIT

The accelerated growth of the Internet and data networks use, as well as of the online business represents not only an important business opportunity but also a business challenge.
.The migration of services to the digital environment comes with security issues for the operations performed, both for the final consumer and for the companies or for the state.

It is expected that in the next ten years state institutions and economic agents will allocate twice as much time to defend themselves against cyber-attacks. With the transposition into national law of the well-known NIS

Directive, by Law 362/2018 on ensuring a high common level of network and information security, all companies providing essential services for the population must reduce the risks of cyber-attack and take technical measures required.

And that means bigger budgets for investment in cyber security systems and services.

The #2019 IT & C Summit, organized by Newsweek Romania, brings to the same table of debates all the actors involved in cyber security in our country: The Ministry of Communications and Information Society, CERT-RO, companies providing cyber security services and companies

using such services and for which the protection in the online environment is of strategic importance. There will be discussed the post-2020 European Digital Strategy, but also artificial intelligence as a potential for business development and communities and for improving the quality of life.
There will be presented strategic directions proposed by the most important companies in the field and new trends in IT & C services for business.
